Ethiopian black seed oil

How it works

From the seed to your cells, in three steps.

  1. 1

    The active compound

Black seed's main active compound is thymoquinone, a natural antioxidant. It's the reason black seed oil works, and why how much is in your oil matters.

  2. 2

    Protected and carried

Thymoquinone breaks down in light and dissolves in fat, not water. So it's sealed in a softgel and carried in MCT oil from coconut. Take it with a meal.

  3. 3

    Works with your body

Day after day, it supports your body's own antioxidant defences and its normal inflammatory response.* That's where the benefits above come from, so a steady routine matters more than any one dose.

The simple version: think of free radicals as rust for your cells. Thymoquinone helps your body keep that rust in check.

Give it time. Most black seed studies ran for 6 to 12 weeks, so plan on at least two months of daily use.

What most labels leave out

Same seed. Very different oil.

Every black seed oil comes from the same tiny seed, Nigella sativa. What changes from brand to brand is how much thymoquinone, the seed's main active compound, is still in it when you take it. And most labels never tell you.

Why black seed oil "does nothing"

The Evergreen formula

Three ingredients. One softgel.

Black seed from Ethiopia and Ceylon cinnamon from Sri Lanka, carried in MCT oil. Tap each ingredient to see why it's in there.

Black seeds (Nigella sativa)
Ingredient 01 · From Ethiopia

Ethiopian black seed oil

The heart of the formula. Oil from Nigella sativa seeds grown in Ethiopia, the seed families across Africa and the Middle East have kept in their kitchens for thousands of years. It carries thymoquinone, the compound researchers study most in black seed.

Ceylon cinnamon sticks
Ingredient 02 · From Sri Lanka

Ceylon cinnamon, not cassia

True cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) from Sri Lanka. Most cinnamon sold in the US is cassia, which is much higher in coumarin. Ceylon is naturally low in it, and that matters when you take something every day.

Cinnamomum verumNaturally low in coumarinFrom Sri Lanka
Fresh coconut, the source of MCT oil
Ingredient 03 · From coconut

MCT oil, the carrier

Medium-chain triglycerides from coconut. Thymoquinone and the compounds in cinnamon are fat-soluble, so the formula keeps them in oil, not in a dry powder.

Where our seed comes from

Why Ethiopia? Black seed has deep roots here.

Black seed (Nigella sativa) has long been grown on Ethiopia's highland farms. It has its own name there, a place in everyday cooking and a place in local research. Here's what that means, and what it doesn't.

More than a label

What we won't claim

That altitude alone makes a stronger oil

Black seed varies, even between Ethiopian farms. So we don't stop at "Ethiopian". Every pack carries its thymoquinone number and batch date.
